Occasionally you might hear a native Filipino speaker accidentally say "she" when speaking in English when the person is a male, and now you know why! In Filipino there is only one word for he & she, and the word sounds similar to the word "she", which is why it's easy for a Filipino speaker to sometimes make this slip of the tongue.

Silá / "They"

Silá is the plural form of siyá, equivalent to the word "they" in English.
