I wouldn't wear one around the Philippines but I admit they do look mighty comfy. It can get very constrained and "pawis" down there if you can imagine so this could help that a lot, I think.

Here in the US, I have seen a number of guys wearing kilts, usually the cargo or utility type with pockets. I have heard a number of testimonies from guys who first said they would never wear a kilt, but when the got the courage to try one on, they were so comfortable they ditched their short pants and switched to kilts. I think it just takes some courage to try something new that works better than what everyone else has been doing for decades. Yes, it is a skirt, but for men. If we do move to the Philippines, I will probably not wear kilts out and about, but around the house and when I am in the yard picking saging or mangga. Who knows? Maybe once a few Pinoy try them on, it will take off like wildfire. I guess we will see.... the photo was taken while my wife and I were on vacation.

People will subconsciously treat you different, and it will lessen you change with ladies
 
You a good looking man but those pants lessen your looks.
