Hello! My name is MRBO1432. .
I am studying the Filipino-English language because I want to be fluent in both languages. My country in the Philippines is composed of three islands: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. People in Luzon, majority speak Tagalog dialect whereas in Visayas and Mindanao are predominantly Cebuano speaking people. I belong to the latter island. Our national language then is Tagalog. Since Tagalog has a lot of loan words from Spanish words considering that Spain colonized the Philippines for a long period of time, our lawmakers declared a standard national language called Filipino which is a mixture of Tagalog and other words from different dialects in the country; hence, the Filipino language.
