Hello! My name is Silvia. I am from Amsterdam and I am a Beginner Filipino language student. I am studying the Filipino language because learning languages is my hobby. I like the Tagalog language, it has some similarities with bahasa Indonesia.

@Szilvi24 Welcome! I have heard there are similarities between the languages. What other languages have you studied?

@TLDCAdmin Thank you very much.
I have learned Hungarian, Turkish, Arabic and some other languages but I don't speak most of these fluently yet. I want to continue working on these languages as well.

@Szilvi24 Wow, that is ambitious! I've heard Arabic is difficult. Which language is closest to Dutch, do you think?

@TLDCAdmin Yes true, Arabic is indeed not so easy. German is quite close to Dutch, so are Scandinavian languages. And what about you, admin?

English and Tagalog, lang. ; ) And a little Spanish, since I live in Texas...I admire people who can take on multiple languages at once like that.

There are also advantages about focusing on 1 language at a time, more focus and faster progress in that language.
