Hi, I have a question regarding 'inclusive' vs 'exclusive' pronouns (e.g., "we"). So, "tayo" is used in the "inclusive" situation where the person being spoken to (the ‘listener’) is part of the group being discussed. On the other hand, “kami” is used in the “exclusive” situation where the person being spoken to (again, the ‘listener’) is not part of the group being discussed. BUT, what if there are more than one ‘listener’ and some are part of the group, while others are not.
For example, what if you are supposed to take your sister somewhere, but she doesn’t know where yet. So, she asks, “Where are we going today?” Then your brother, who won’t be going with you, asks, “Yes, where are you guys going today?”
So, when you say to them both “We are going...”, would you use “kami” (since you’re talking to your brother and he’s not going), or would you use “tayo” (since you’re talking to your sister and she is going)?

Well, from my perspective it seems as much a logic question as a linguistic one. Since the brother who is not going is the one who asked, I would use “kami” to answer his question. You’re addressing the brother’s question, not the sister’s. That being said, I’m guessing many respondents might simply say, “Sa (wherever they’re going)” and leave it at that.

@Lancent
I think @Diegocorry ‘s answer is good.
In this situation, “we” is very vague, in English or in Tagalog...
“Kami” might be better if the sister already knows she’s going, because it avoids the awkward situation of the brother perhaps mistakenly thinking he will be going, too...

Thanks for your answers. They all sound good, especially as ways to avoid any confusion!
