Question: Si - is for ONLY human (personal) names ?

Question: Si - is for ONLY human (personal) names ?
Or also for names of pet dogs and cats and horses etc ?

Si, ni and kay are for 3 groups of nouns only:
 
1. Names of humans and pet animals, e.g. si Spot.
2. Older family members, e.g. si Nanay.
3. Occupational titles, e.g. si Kapitan Amerika.

We also use it for pets.
 
To confuse you further, in casual Tagalog, people sometimes use *siya* to refer to the bus or transportation modes.

Si is also used for names of typhoons. Ang bagyong si Ondoy.
