"Dumakma" is a crude way of saying "to grab something". It practically sounds bestial. It is OK to use it for a humorous effect if you're talking to someone you are quite friendly with. Normally though, if you want to say "Grab some food from the table", you should say "Kumuha (Get) ka ng pagkain sa mesa".
